hiya, I'm currently modifying a vitara with hilux axles and twin lsd's running 35's for comps.
now the standard vit engine is rubbish and I wanted a lot more poke and also diesel. I managed to pick up a complete 'J' reg 3.0TD auto surf cheap. engine and box are spot on the body I knackered.
I have a couple questions:
Firstly a the engine is electronic fuel pump and mechanicals are expensive, if I just put the ecu into the vitara with the loom and connect to the battery, will that be enough for the pump?
Secondly, is the auto gearbox electronic? or does the auto work without electrics?
