dash lights flickering

all my dash lights have started to flicker they are ok on tick over
but when i rev even a little all the dash light come on solid
leave it back on tick over and they flicker then go out?

last time this happend it was the alternator
so iam i right in thinking its the same thing this time on?

anyone ?

Most likely the alternator but check that the belts are tight first, they might be slipping when the engine is revved.

i did a quick look at the belts they seem fine
but its slinging it down out side so i had to come in doors
so iam stuck at the mo

last time i had my altenator reconed it was £65 that was a few years ago
the firm has now moved so iam going to shop about for the best price

at toyota they want £425

i'll post more prices has i find them

price of a good recon depending on whats wrong could be owt from 65 quid to 90 quid thats dipped to help with the water when i go deep
