[QUOTE=shokenore;811953]Cunning plan eh? As long as it doesn't involve a turnip
Without actually measuring it I would say 30mm.

Actally more cunning than a fox who's the guest speaker at a cunning convention!!!!!
Anyway we use a motor driven pto on Sprinter van gear boxes, that pushes
a rod with a selecter fork, not unlike the one used on the axle ADD.
So may be able to adapt it to replace the transfer box actuator.

But i would still like to repair the original actuator so any thoughts or help with
setting the timing would be appreciated

    thanks Gaz

p.s no turnips will be hurt!!!

I think wishbone suggested that his worked after stick it in 4wd via the button and levering the push rod in to engage 4wd via the transfer case then putting the top gear in place
Thus setting the timing in 4wd.
IF it ever stops raining I'm gonna try this as my next step apparently I may have a chance Sunday......

That sounds like a plan i might give that a try, just don't want to chew the
gear up if it over runs. Big worry as they can't be easy yo get hold off.
If like you say it stops raining
