  • need a bit of stereo help

    Hi peeps looking for some help please.
    I got a Sony CDX-m600r stereo in the motor.
    Disconnected the battery and now stereo is asking for "CODE IN"
    Has any one got any idea what the codes are for these ?

        If you bought from a dealer he ought to have given you the code for it. May be on your invoice. If not, take it back and ask them to do it.

            What part of South Wales you from? I have a mate that re-codes this sort of thing. Does the previous owner have the code?

              no tried that route as well, I`m in Chepstow.
              If it comes to the worst i will get another stereo.
              Seen Kenwoods for £70.
              And stick the sony on ebay as spare or repair and hope for a few
              quid back on it.

                        Apparently if you have the remote you can do this:

                        Use the wireless remote control (sony RM-X96) to type the code. OFF,SOURCE,ATT,OPEN/CLOSE.
