  • Best 2nd gen 'extension mirrors' for towing caravans ?

Am in the process of getting my truck ready for towing a caravan and was hoping one of you guys can recommend a decent pair of mirror extensions that fit the 2nd gen well.

Have searched but the links I found were dead.

    Thanks,
    Rob.

Not Surf, but this year I tried the mirrors that sucked onto your normal mirrors, and they were great (on the Mondeo).
Rock steady at reasonable speed, and you can adjust them using the nomal electric mirror controls.

    Gone from 4x4 to 1x2

      Thanks Maverick,

A very simple yet effective solution. How does the size compare to a surf mirror ?

Milenco Aeros are good and you can get longer arms for them - personally I'd recommend them as they mean that your blind spot is smaller !

If the Aeros aren't big enough for you they also do the Grand Aeros which are massive

I do - I like to know when some daft bugger's going to try to overtake on a blind bend !

The only time you'll find a queue behind me is when I'm stuck behind a lorry or a 2.4 Surf owner

Thanks for the advice Bob, will take a look at them (and the ones Maverick suggested) and see if Santa can sort me out a set of something.

I used THESE when I dragged a caravan back here. They have been hanging in my garage for 2 years getting in the way, unfortunately they would cost too much to post or you could have them.

They done a good job though.

                    Cheers Slobbo,

Right now the Milenco ones are in the lead as the fittings are the most discreet..

Just collected a 'like new' pair of Milenco Aeros off of ebay for £21.

Thanks for all the help folks,

                      Rob.
