Hi all just thought I would introduce myself, being the proud new owner of a Gen 2 3.0td ssrg Hilux surf! What a great forum full of very helpful info which I plan on using and possible picking your brains on certain probably very commonly asked questions! So I apologise before hand!
I have the day off tomorrow to spend servicing the truck as I don't thinks it been done for a while, and also get it ready for the winter! So apart from the usual oil,coolant and filter changes is there anything else I should be doing/looking out for while I'm at it? I have purchased everything I think I need from roughtrax and is all here waiting for me to do.
I will starts build thread a bit later on as I would love to eventually do a 2" body and suspension lift with some bigger tyres! So any hints and tips would be great fully appreciated! Thanks and keep up the good work! Here is a photo of the truck as standard before the work starts.

Hello and welcome. Nice truck and you're in a good place to go get it muddy. Body lift is a relatively easy job. Just keep an eye on steering column as it needs loosening to account for the lift. Also the gear shifter for the 4wd can get caught on the bodywork so needs cutting back.

You may want to give your nipples a quick grease "fnar fnar", plenty of info on here but an easy enough job to do with the old grease gun.
