Found and purchased my first surf, 2nd gen 3L SSRX - Ltd
I'll be picking it up on saturday so pics to follow
Just thought i'd share with you guys a conversation as best as I remember it with an insurance moron..
1 guy phoned me when I registered for quotes from specialist import insurance companies, niche market stuff, who it turned out was some chancer from a.n.other company that I tried doing online, conversation went thus...
Me – Its a 3L Diesel, automatic, Hilux SURF
Moron – So a Manual 4Runner
Me – No its the Japanese version, the SURF, 4Runner is the UK version, this is an import.
Moron – I’ll say its a 4Runner as thats the nearest option.
Me – Then you may as well call it a Ferrari as its a different vehicle and the insurance will be void.
Moron – this is just for quotation purposes, I can change it later.
Me – why not change it now to give me a correct figure ?
Moron – hold the line I’ll just get the quotes for you.
**10 minutes of silence**
Moron – Hello, the best I can do is through Aviva, but they wont quote for imported vehicles
Me – You're a D***!!
**I then hang up !!**
I have since found a company that actually knew what they were talking about
