Mine's been agreed...really impressed with Toyota's customer service!

But it's just for the original issue. Wonder if they'll do anything else. Hmmmm.

Need to take it in asap.

If I'm not mistaken the recall is for 2nd Gen surfs only. I thought it was to do with steering components, never knew that was anything wrong with the fuel pump.
                Anyway, good for you!

Really , I might be able to get free new parts for my 19 year old truck on a recal? If so thanks for passing on the knowledge and how did you all find out about this. Do I just get in touch with my local toyota dealer?

Yeah apparently if your truck has a chassis serial number ending in a odd number they will rebuild.
                      Totally.
                      Apparently.

Toyota UK will contact Toyota Europe who will contact Toyota Japan.

So it takes a while. 4-6 weeks maybe.

Check your VIN against the recall list.

I tried to get mine done. (3rd Gen, ball joints) I read the chassis number to them over the phone... 5 weeks letter I got a letter saying the number was wrong.
                              More Lift.
                              More Tyres.
                              More Engine.
