As above who sells them? My 3.0td is making a ticking noise, it was quite loud than after a good rev at the weekend it went much quieter, this evening however it has gone back to being noisy again (if not noisier than before) at first I thought it was a noisy tappet but with these events I am more inclined to say its an injector.

Take them to your local diesel specialist and have them reconditioned. -

Am I right to suspect a bad injector? It is lousy on fuel so it is a possible explanation. If I loosen the injector pipes one by one it should identify if the injector is faulty at a guess, am I correct in suggesting this option? before I shell out on some replacements and find out the expensive way that I'm not.Old enough to know better but then again.....Comment

You are right (just as ya would remove a HT lead from a spark plug to check if it's firing)
Loosen each injector pipe seperately slightly (rough running) will confirm it's working as it should... NB if when ya loosen the injector pipe n makes no difference ya found the faulty one ..
