  • Help - rear window won't go down

Totally out of the blue, my rear window which used to work perfectly has suddenly stopped working. It's completely dead. I don't think it's the motor, there is no power at the motor. In the handbook it does not say where the rear window fuse is. I checked the fuses by the driver's door pillar and under the bonnet and they all seemed ok. I did not look at those behind the glovebox as I did not fancy unscrewing it all. The rear wiper seems to be seated in its holder properly. What do I check next?

Does it work on the key?
Has the window lock switch been accidentally pressed?
Do you have power at the switch?

        This ^.

Make sure it's seated properly when it rests... and check the window lock button on the drivers door.

I feel very sheepish...the window lock button on the driver's door was down!

There is a problem with the key in the tailgate, that still won't lower the window.

Having all the covers off will give me the chance to get to the bottom of why the heated rear screen does not work either.
