We have no boot space in the truck as its all caged out for our four dogs, so any luggage, shopping, toys etc usually end up on the back seat. So, with mini G 2 arriving, we will have less space in the back of the truck, hence the need for a slightly bigger vehicle.
It's either that or we get an Estima with awd and cage that out.
Current cage depth is 850mm to the bottom of the rear seat and reduces to approx. 700 at the headrest height. There is a gap of 400mm on the RHS between the cages and the side of the truck, but its full of stuff all stacked up (leads, harnesses, dog toys etc.)
And, as we go dogging a lot with the caravan, it needs to be a good tow vehicle, and I'd rather an LC than a Nissan Patrol.

Andy, if you're still out there, could you please let me have the measurements of your LC boot with just the standard back seats up (second row out).
I'm looking for depth, height and width for dog cages and storage as mini G 2 is on the way late September so may need to get something a little bigger than the 3rd gen.
