  • New radiator arrived

Not as good as a 3 core Roughtrax unit.

bought as a temporary replacement while my leaking rad gets repaired.

Surprised it came with drain tap & oil cooler connectors.

You will probably get the two years out of it before it starts to leak.
I have come to the conclusion that unless you go OEM that the rad should be considered as a service item.
My eBay one, old school brass and copper one, not that new fangled aluminium, lasted about 18 months or so.
Small weep from the top tank seam.
Bit of solder and touch wood it is still ok.

Ady, intend to fit this a temporary unit until my "quality" rad is repaired.

          Well that's the plan

I've noticed mine is weeping from where the top tank meets the core...

strange Ive never had one go like that before... but it doesn't sound uncommon!

I was thinking of one of the Ebay units... but not so sure if they get bad press....

I bought one off Ebay that leaked within a year.
They made me pay all the return and delivery carriage charges for a replacement but that was about 3 years ago.

Been using one of them for over 3 years now, no probs, personally I wouldnt go for the brass top and bottom tank ones.
