Cheers Andy, most praise must go to Brian n Alan for their metalwork as I only did the easy bit of fitting the bolts won't be long now before the heavyweight is sorted hopefully !!

I'm thinking that it's not up to the task. What size and type of pipe is it made of? Are the welds on the flat plate to the pipe just butt welded? I'm just thinking the winch plate has no chassis support at all, apart from where it's welded to the pipe. Sory but I can't see that those four plates and 8 bolts are good enough especially as only two actually bolt to the chassis by the looks of it and the other two are on the original bumper support. I'm not an engineer but it all looks a litle flimsy to me.

That's fair comment Nev but I will reserve judgement n refer the questions to the Builders, Yoshie n Kerrsurf.
I will however once completely fitted n trimmed out the Bumper put it to the test ....

It bolts in the same anchor points and in the same way as a TJM bumper.
The plates have tabs underneath and the base plate for the winch is 8mm. The tubes you see support none of the winch forces.
But as you say your no engineer.

Thanks for your confidence Brian, but as an ex (non-working) but also non welding engineer doesn't mean I don't know how it should be done.... n I really couldn't see there being any problem with design, welding or figment...
