Hello Kezz. Welcome to the forum. Everyone with a 2nd gen gets the steering stop grumble and grind. Vaseline has too low a melting point and won't last 2 seconds. I always give them a blob of Coppaslip on a regular basis. as for the front brakes, this You Tube blog is quite useful.

    Good luck.

Wow thanks everyone for such a warm welcome!

      I think I will stay!

Well I've pumped the tires up and the pull to the left is still there but MUCH less as in I think I may now be imagining it's there...

I'll get myself a pot of Coppaslip and sort out the grinding tbh it's not "that" bad but I think it's scaring people into thinking the wheels will fall off! Ha!

Good to know there's a few from Wiltshire will keep an eye out for any meets would love to come along and get to know a few people.

I'm so in love with my little big truck already I've had some great comments from people already!

              Ha ha thanks!

There is a little bit of rust but not much (despite my mum calling her a "rust bucket") She's fairly rust free.. none around the door frames either

Oh btw my Surf's name is "Hyacinth" Not sure if it's the done thing to give your Hilux such a feminine name but there it is!

Hmm... thought someone might say that... oh well I'm not too bothered I think it gives them more personality to have a stupid name!

I had a mate who used to name his Transits..."Buttercup" and "Bluebell" because they were a cow to start.

Hi Kezz & welcome. Wiltshire's a good place to be

You might also want to check your lower ball joints. I had my tracking done, but it still pulled to the left due to excessive play on the near side joint.
