  • heat stroke?

Right then, torsion bar madness in this heat has me wondering about my wander. Hiluxes often lean a little to the right (not nazi style I hope) to do with the fuel tank and the driver... So when I wound up my torsion bars I wound up the right side a little more to compensate. Ever since it's pulled a little to the right - more so at speed. I could def replace the rear shocks, the front are new rancho 2'' jobs.
I've only just thought this could be the cause. But maybe it's just the heat. Tyre pressures all good, tread and make and size the same.
Opinions on this theory would be good..........

Basically uneven torsion bar pressure affecting ride?

Since winding up the torsion bars, have you had the tracking done?

    It may be this.

I found a rare place to do a full alignment but they recommended I put new tyres on the front BEFORE I do it as the tread is way more than an inch in difference as I have just fitted new cooper stt 31s on the back. There was no wander before but new rear tyres nicely balanced shouldn't be a problem.
The reason for this post was in case I should wind DOWN the right side BEFORE the alignment.
The fronts are 31s but low low down on tread.
But maybe the full alignment - I'm thinking and knowing camber - will fix all this. It's only after the wind up this has happened....
So. I'm wondering if I should wind down the O/S torsion bar before spending £70 on the alignment or not to worry about it.
      cheers

Any adjustment to ride height will adjust camber and when camber is adjusted so is toe angle.
well, that was a bad idea!
