Trail and error until you and/or the MOT'er are happy.

I rarely use the handbrake,I usually just stick it in park,is this safe,is it legal??
Never rely on the parking pawl in the transmission to hold the truck, especially on a hill.
Always use the handbrake as well, as it keeps the cables adjusted correctly.

You can use the Colorado rear axle and disks on a third gen, same part number as E locker models.

Once I've driven my HiLex about a bit and decided if I want to keep diesel ratios or not, I'm buying a landcruiser rear axle to do this mod, - then binning the E locker for a decent LSD.

Aslo want to get Tundra front disks and calipers, but will have to be stung on Import tax and shipping for them
            More Lift.
            More Tyres.
            More Engine.

when you change rear axle, you need to take in consideration the front one, is in it?
i got 2 spare axles here (lsd) from 2nd generation to do this once i find the right way for me to do it.
              interesting the tundra disk/brakes!

                Yes,

Sorry I thought that was obvious so I didn't mention it... I should have...

If I decide to change ratio, I'll get the front diff to match too.

I think the front casings are not interchangenable, but the internals are (for us 3rd Genners)

Exactly like those, they look good!

-I was going to get used ones and refurb myself with Toyota parts.

I was going to go with a landcruiser one to match the rear axle

It turns out I'm in California next month for a business trip...

I might try and find some out there!

i looked at my friends 98 land cruiser ad it seems too complicated to swap it to my 2nd generation, hope is better for your 3rd one.

                        enjoy it!
