change from underslung spare to swing away

I have already got a swing-away wheel carrier but am very interested in the "guards" on your rear lights, I have broken 2 nearside rear lights against my fence when reversing in at night , at £40.00+ a pop I am not very happy, are those guards strong enough to take knocks or are they just ornamental?

Never too late I still have my surf, though not as pretty as it used to be, it has done a lot of miles and work, though a different vehicle with new head, however am still interested in the rear light guards.

well, the rear light guards had supported few small hits that im sure if they weren't there, the lights would be broken by now, im looking for a second pair, but they seem to be very difficult to find them

I have been looking for years, did the ones on your lights come in from Japan with the truck or were they bought in this country, I will ask in the Toyota dealers next time I am in there but feel they will say they are not a Toyota part.

Is the table a fold up permanently mounted jobbie or does it hook on somehow and you carry it around?

it does hook to it when open, when not in use folded inside the truck waiting for next time of use

just connected from the loom that you need to disconnect when you change tailgate, then different tail lights, unless you want to do something like this
