This is my 2.4 manual sounding very rough... video is crap but the sound is what I was trying to work out....

no change with pressing clutch. How terminal is the DMF breaking up...?

Definitely sounds like the dual mass flywheel, Mark. A mate had a manual 2.4 that sounded very similar. I believe that they can be converted using 2.4 solid flywheel and clutch assemblies.

Thanks both you and Bushy had to have AA get me home so I could take it apart today...clutch is fine but flywheel is a mass of bits of metal!!
