Well I had mine nearly 6 years & went through 5 MOT's & it passed everyone.
I do keep my truck maintained to the highest standards though & throughout the year she does get the odd tweak here & there but nothing major.
You look after your truck & your truck will look after you.
If its not broke don't fix it.Comment

Failed...
One battery loose - sorted
Head lights mis-aligned -sorted
Side lights wrong colour (previous owner must have put some silly blue coloured ones in) - changed
Front brakes pulling 26% more to one side - being sorted.
Couple of advisories to be sorted (can't remember what they are) once I get the truck back tomorrow and I can source the parts.
Will try better next year !
