Thinking about buying another car...

I bought a mazda 6 MPS from new to replace my astra coupe turbo... It was well built, all wheel drive and went like stink. That turbo just kept spooling up. Anyway, it was unloved and lacked soul. Although it drove beautifully and could drift at will...Never cleaned it and despised its bland looks. Ended up selling it to get the Monaro which was an impulse buy. Never looked back. The only really good car I've owned that I've not regretted selling. Make of that what you will!

[QUOTE=Albannach;797724]Nope, that's pretty much spot on. Slightly darker with a non cream interior would be perfect.[/QUO

It's a Venturi Atlantique - hilariously unpopular French Ferrari clone.Originally posted by Albannach View PostWhat is it? Apart from nothing like what I'm looking for
On the basis of what you want, I'd be looking for a Lexus. Piotr at my local garage says "I am driving Lexoos, my wife is driving Lexoos, my brother drive Lexoos, I tell all my friends drive Lexoos. You know why? Don't give headaches"
Could any car be more right for you than this?

Audi A4 has surprised me with just how good it is and how much I enjoy driving it, given it was to my shame a middle aged compromise over the 350 I was due to pick up.

I have project cars, I have a V8, I have fast bikes, I have a slow bike, I have a 4x4 and I have a van. My list may be boring, but the car has to be reasonably economical, very reliable, have a big boot and lots of toys.
I wouldn't pee on a BMW.
I work for BP

Sancho is on the right wavelength, get something that doesn't depreciate, or depreciates less.
Unless you are having to clean up the money of course.

If I had 15k to spend on a car, I would forget which has the best stats and go for the one I would enjoy driving the most.
Have had boring sensible company cars for too long.
My best ever car was a "range rover" cut down to 88" with a V8 (basically a rollcage with an engine) as seen in total offroad and it was not best car I have ever driven on the road, but by far the most enjoyable. It's the only car I have owned that I regret selling.
