Lift the front so the weight is off the wheels and wind the torsion bars up.
    Or fit ball joint spacers.

Or you could spend some cash and fit a proper lift kit which would keep CV angles.
Most however choose option one above as it's free

I like that slight "rake". I put a 1" spacer onto my 2" springs on the rear. It's not much, but I find it pleasing to the eye. .

Will the 35s fit on the front ok with the free option?

Mine were from a Peugeot 406 estate.

There's a write-up here about fitting some rails....

Is there a roofrack that will fit the surf that I can put a spare 35 on! I havnt got the carrier and I dont want a underslung spare as the towbar and bumper will be coming off for a rock slider type bumper!

unfortunatly not you will have to put a 2 or three inch body lift on before you can fit 35s
winding up the torsion bars is quiet easy but its recommonded that you only wind up 1.5 to 2 inches
i put uprated springs new shocks and a 3 inch body lift on mine without any hassel and im a carpenter !!

i`ve fitted a 2" body lift and i`ve just bought a donor car that had the 35s on, i`ve taken the bigger springs and shocks and fitted them to the back of mine so all that seems ok with loads of room with the 35s on! i havnt got a clue what i`m doing! i`m just fitting it to my truck the way i take it off the donor truck. i`m doing all the work on my own and i`ve lost a bit of skin on my knuckles and a lot of efn and blindin! i managed to do one side of the front this afternoon and found it had 5 metal plates above the ball joint about half an inch thick each so i guess thats a 2 and a half inch ball joint lift! so i`ve managed to fit them to the left side of mine with the extended brake lines. i`ll try the right side tomorrow then fit the wheels and see what the clearance is like!

can i still wind the torsion bar up for more lift with the ball joint spacers?
