hi all been around for a while lurking.

time to get active i own a mk2 with a home brewed +2
lift and loving it.
it is my first surf and possibly the most versatile motor i have ever owned
high praise from a former dedicated landy man but i prefer looking at
the underside of my surf more room and less rust

Cheers all don't have pics as yet
however what i have done
is replace rear springs with range rover (police spec springs)
not quite the right diameter but bed down when loaded up.
made shock lowering brackets from 4 inch lengths
of 3 by 1 rectangle section welded to form an elongated
inverted T shape drilled to allow the upper rubbers to sit inside the
lower box. lengthened the rear ARB verticals with a pair of
100 mm bolts and several nuts/washers to accommodate the rubbers
joined to the original verticals with a threaded tube nut.

Front was done with Ebay ball joint spacers and a bit of torque tube tweakage

overall the lift is more like 3 inchs.

Other jobs done is replace lots of shagged vac pipes around the engine
3mm of spacers on the turbo and a tweak of peak fuel flow.
so now it is just slow not geologicaly slow.
