Which engine???

Just bought a Surf and have a question. I thought it was the 2.4 diesel with manual box. But having looked at engine it says D-turbo 2L-T.
It pulls well and I'm averaging over 30mpg, I didn't think they did a 2 litre or was there one for a different country. Any help would be great thanks.
Oh got the black smoke so assuming needs the egr mod. Truck running fine on 60% veg oil 40% diesel aswell.

The 2.4engine is called a 2L. The 2.8 is a 3L. One day mr toyota realised that was a bit confusing so called the 3.0 a 1kz.

There's also a 5L which is a 3.0Ltr. L series is all the same series engine. L was a 2.2Ltr (some call it the 1L), 2L is a 2.4Ltr, 3L a 2.8Ltr and the 5l a 3Ltr.
