advice from the shooters please

Going hunting, mainly for pigeons, I have camo gear but no decoys etc. Any of you got any handy tips for a beginner? Spent enough time at ranges etc tuning the gun to my shooting and I've been to the permission so I know what's where etc.

If you haven't got decoys you need to try and figure out the flight lines.

Find out where the pigeons feed and then go to roost at the end of the day and observe. Set yourself up in a hide along the flight line. You need to be hidden and still between shots.

Once you bag a few you can then use them as decoys on the ground 25 to 40 yards from your chosen hide to try and tempt them down on to whatever crop you are protecting.

Does that make sense ?

Very important.....Skin shows up like a flashing light against the green back drop.

Make sure your hands and face are also covered !

I take Plastic Decoys then replace them with dead birds as and when I get them, you cant beat the real thing. Do a google search on the subject, loads of info available.Also dont use to heavy load/shot if they are reasonably close.
