squeeeeeeek !!!

my brakes squeek when applied but the squeek continues whilst driving too and is driving me mad (as well as being embarrassing ).... anyone know what could be the problem / solution, i had thought about the brake disc's but i'm no mechanic
any help please

Had this on previous cars (not the surf) one was shims missing behind pads and the other time was just an accumulation of dirt/dust from pads / shoes etc. swilled with water hose (not air line) while cleaning and noise went away. May help but I'm not tech mesself

Could be the brake pad wear indicators. They are a couple of tabs that are designed to contact on the brake discs to make an annoying noise and encourage us to inspect them. Worth getting checked.
