Ebay spoof email

Just received this spoof email this morning. There is a logon part at the bottom that takes you to a website that prompts you for all of your personal info like logons and credit card details - if you get it delete it!!!!

During our regular update and verification of the accounts, we could not verify your current information. Either your information has changed or it is incomplete.

As a result, your access to bid or buy on eBay has been restricted.

According to our site policy you will have to confirm that you are the real owner of the eBay account by log in and complete the form that will pop up or else your account will be suspended without the right to register again with eBay.

After you will login please verify your information in order to complete this verification.

Watch out for similar from Paypal, these guys try all manner of angles to prise out your Credit Card details etc.

No company/website you deal with on the net, will EVER ask for your password/details in an email.

Just bin them.

I get an average of 2 a week of these spoofs. Always report them to ebay security.
A mate of mine had one once and he filled out his password etc, next thing he knows his account got hijacked and someone else started listing all manner of things on it. He got it sorted eventually which was good.
It's true what they say, never give out your passwords and sensitive information.
