H1 LUX is already issued, Nige. I think that I read, somewhere that it last changed hands for something like £10 k. On my plate, even though only the L and U are inverted, at a glance, it still reads as Hilux, but it cost much, much less.

Prices for plates are crazy, I once looked into the possibility of buying N1 GEL, found out it had been sold for £62,500 and was on a solicitors Lambo in London, I could have had N16 ELS (which would have looked better on a car anyway) for £3000 or £4000. Never seems to be any sense regarding the prices

A couple of good ones that I can remember seeing were on a "pimped out" Merc S class that used to knock around Chorley. Reg BAD 130Y. Also a Smart car in Birmingham. Reg MU51 CDJ.
