  • Rubbish job to do.

Got to change my sump this week as its got a nice leaky rust patch on the back.
Had a read of some of the post relating to this and sounds the quickest way is to drop the front diff. Ain't had a proper look yet but any advice welcome.
Do the half shafts bolt on to the diff?

    Advice please

I'm in the middle of changing my sump got the prop of and undone the drive shafts. Can anyone who's done this job before tell me if when the drive shafts are horizontal will the diff drop past the bolts? If not how do you get it past.

You can unbolt the 4 14mm bolts holding the lower balljoint on the hub and then swing it out a bit to give you a bit of clearance.

Cheers wishbone. For some reason didn't even think of that. It came out but sort of just fell lol. Will follow your advice for putting back in cheers.
