  • Good news and bad news

Well the bad news first, after 3 years of fun ownership the truck got replaced today by a sensible economical estate car
Give it a year or two and i'll probably have a 3rd gen.

The good news is that if anyone needs a front passanger bumper corner in chrome i have one they can have for the cost of postage (or pick it up if you're close enough). It is off a pre-facelift but i'm not sure if it fits the later ones. The condition is pretty good so just pm me if you want it.
    Non consternationes.

Oh dear, I did the same thing Daz, sold the surf & bought a BMW estate.
Don't get me wrong it was a great motor but just 7 months on & I'm on the look out for another 3rd gen, especially after the winter we've just had.
If its not broke don't fix it.

With using a works van through the week it was the wife who drove the truck the most and she just fancied a change, she said it was a pain in the frenchgate shopping centre car park which is where she spends most of her time and my money
One up side is that it gives me chance to get my Viva finished and back on the road rather than looking sorry in the garage.
      Non consternationes.

Suppose it makes sence but you will miss it.

Got any pics of the viva, my dad had a yellow one in the late 70's with chrome wheels, back then it looked the dogs.
If its not broke don't fix it.

Did you see Teamonsta's 3rd Gen in the for sale section?

after a rummage round these are about the only pictures i could find, sorry about the quality. They are from about 10 years ago, the shell and suspension has since been rebuilt. I need to get the body painted before i can do anything else now.
On the bench is a fast road cam, twin strombergs on brabham manifold and a tubular exhaust manifold. Together with over-size lightweight pistons the power should increase from about 52bhp to 75bhp
