  • Getting Shiny

Well it's been almost 4 months of ownership and an absolute pleasure to drive. It has needed a few things done but mostly cosmetic. Finally got new tyres fitted this week as the originals were balder than kojak around the centre. Went for cooper discoverer s/t. The original wheels were also grotty although not damaged so I spent the week rubbing them down and preparing them for painting. The tyres were fitted last Thursday and the wheels primed and painted over the weekend. First time I've done this and quite pleased with how they turned out.

Lovely looking truck, Ross. Are those tyres an approximate equivalent to 33's?

Thanks for the comments guy's. The tyres are 315 x 75 on 16 inch rims. Equivalent of almost 35's I believe.

To each their own Jess. I really love my 2nd gen, but if I ever had to replace it, I think I'd go 3rd gen. (Modified, obviously.).

Next time you visit you can have a few miles in my 2.7 (petrol!) and I'm pretty sure you might enjoy the quiet refined spacious drive.
