Just a quick "hello" !

I tried in the newbie section but wasn't allowed to post !!

Anyway, I finally took the plunge and bought my first Surf, 1996 3.0l SSRG.

So far very pleased with the "Monster Truck" as my 6 year old daughter has christened it. Surprised at the good road manners, how quiet it is and at the rather impressive acceleration !! Looking forward to trying it off the tarmac !

It won't be a daily ride, definitely an SUV in the sense that I shoot and it will be used mainly for that purpose....

Please be patient with me as I will no doubt be asking lots of silly questions that might / could be answered with "do a search" but I certainly won't let that put me off !!!

That's Essexist !

Actually born and bred in Maidstone in Kent.

And the worst thing about the QE2 Bridge is that the bar stewards lied to us all when they said that the toll charges would stop once the bridge had paid for itself !!!!

But of course you can disguise any tax increase as a congestion charge and for environmental reasons these days.
