heater trouble

Hi I am having trouble with my heater on my 3 generation surf it only works on full speed. I think the heater control box is playing up does anyone know where i can get another one from or the name of what it is called I need to get.Thanks

Do you mean the fan only works on Max? If so, I have the same problem. I think it is a resistor block on the fan control unit which fails.
Not sure how to go about fixing it. I have seen a thread where you solder in some new resistors but I am not sure where they actually are in the car.
Can anyone us in the right direction?

You can replace the resistors if you know what ones you need, but often easier just to replace the resistor pack with a good used one, it normally lives on the side of the blower motor case on other trucks, I've not had to find the 3rd Gen one yet though.

I should have one on my 3rd Gen breaker truck if they are there.
