New to the site and the Hilux... Changed from a Navara to a freelander and now a hilux gen 2 3.0 SSRX ltd.

Hello Chris. Welcome to the forum. There seems to be a lot of Surf owners down there in Wiltshire. Such close and easy access to the "plains". Lucky boys!

Thank you for the replies chaps.

I will post more in the tech section but basically it is struggling to pick up 1st gear until I give it more rpm and is now taking longer up the rev range to change up gears... This is on the 5th day of owning it

Hi Chris. You may need to check the ATF levels and also check to see if the fluid has been changed. If its a browny colour and smells burnt then it will need changing.
You need the truck upto running temp to check the correct fluid level.
I take it your truck is an auto if not then ignore this

                  Hi Storm.

Yea it's auto I am giving it to a mechanic tomorrow to take a look hopefully he won't take my wallet for a ride! I don't have any tools or jacks at the moment as I have just moved.

I'm scanning through the tech section and seem to be a few issues similar to mine so fingers crossed!

It was just low on ATF
