Fuel filter question

Hello, I'm thinking of doing a little mod to my car but there's something I'm not sure of. On a 2nd gen 3litre TD surf does anyone know the size of the connections on the fuel filter housing inlets and outlets, and also I'd they are removable so other connectors could be put on?
