Rear seat movement

Hi all

I cant get it up (the rear seat cushion that is), so that I can lower the rear seats completely so that the rear is flat and level. On my last Surf I just had to lift the rear cushion by sliding my hand down the back of it, this one seems to be either stuck or locked in place though. The owners manual seems to suggest pulling the button that releases the rear seat back rest to release the seat base, but this doesn't help at all.

I'm thinking I might be missing something or that the seat base is jammed somehow

Don't you have to pull a little fabric tab?

Yep, should because fabric tab, if not or you can't find it, you can pull it in anger, but have a feel around first as its probably tucked down the back, the tab is in the middle of thr seat base.

got it now, my wife found the tab to pull, the miiddle seat belt buckle had been trapped under the cushion and was on top of the tab
