  • Modded Ecu/sensors!

Has anyone ever modified whatever it is that controls the speed that the overdrive kicks in. It would be better coming in at 40ish.The motor has more than enough grunt to cope with it and it would be nicer on the country lanes that I normally trolley along. Possibly be slightly more economical as well!

I would really like to adjust this too. At times my driving is getting a little dangerous just to keep it in overdrive. .

Thanks. Now I recall he did mention that when I first showed my pretty little self on here.

I think you mean torque converter lock up rather than overdrive.

To make lock up happen a little sooner i.e. when you 'feel' it should happen, press the overdrive button twice.
          Works on my '01 2.7.

Bushwacker, didn't seem to work. Mind you, my Surf is 94 so not quite as posh as yours!

What is the wiring for the basic lock out mod?

                Cheers, Nick

Thanks John, but that's a bit too much for me I just want the simple switch - On/Off - so just the pins for that (I need it in front of me before I start to snip wires!!! )

                    Cheers, Nick

                      I found this one

Some of the older ones have been lost/disappeared.
