It's been snowing all day here but falling onto already melting/meted snow/ice so nothing has stuck.

At this very moment it's just wet outside and absolutely nothing is falling from the sky, outside temp is 3 degrees.
The panic buyers have been out already though, struggled to get bread and milk this afternoon.
But the Met office says that I live in the middle of the red zone for snow so it must be true!

Xmas Eve and New Years Eve the "public" were in the supermarkets buying food and drink as if a nuclear war was coming and shops would never open again, rather than just closing for a single day. Im sure a weather warning like this has the same effect as an announcement saying "There will be no more shops---EVER "

I just drove to tesco and back. Moving was involved.
Mind I've got to go to Dundee tommorow. Getting up home could be "interesting"

I've just gone and got another beer out the fridge...and yes, moving was involved. However, I did pause briefly at the open door of the refrigerator to make my decision on choice of beverage, so maybe I have contributed to the standstill?
Gos knows what the standstill will be like tomorrow when I have to choose my breakfast...

Don't have branflakes...the standstill could turn into a jam. I suggest prunes.
