running my car on used cooking oil

hi,I have previously seen some discussion on running surfs on used cooking oil or a mix of oil and diesel.I can see me having some lean times ahead and would like to know more about this.
MY car is a 1992 2.4 SSR diesel AUTO.
i AM NOT VERY Technical,so please explain with small words and short sentences what I need to do.

Very simply... blend 85% waste oil (WVO), 15% petrol and leave for 48 hours. Filter the result (being careful not to pour any of the drop out) through a 1 mic filter bag.

If you buy new oil (SVO) you don't need to settle or filter.
