  • rear window slight sticking

    hi again all,
this is not to much of a problem, i hope, but its just something that I noticed yesterday evening.
simply, as I started to return the back window to the up position, it got to maybe 3ins from the top and sort of slowed right down and at one point stopped.
It has been standing for 3 years under a large bush and did have alot of the green moss type stuff all over it when i picked it up.
cleaned up well as some of you would have seen.
all the other windows are good.
go downs very easy, gets to almost up fine but then either stops afew inches from the top or goes really slowly.

got any info please guys and girls.
other things on my new baby are all working well.
just love her, the drive is outstanding.
pulls my trailer like theres nothing there

Silicone lube the edging and clean the window - will help reduce the friction, which is your worst enemy. There's not a lot of reserve power to get the window up if there is any type of restriction.

I had the same - the problem with mine was the large spring - can be seen on the photo in the link above. It had gone a bit cruddy. I wire brushed it and greased it and now the rear windows just glides.
