Not really much help on finding a snorkel due to being half way around the world from you, mabey import one or hope to find a second hand one but odds are not great. Local guys will have a better idea.

But I can speak from first hand experience after throwing a rod out of my block after drowning my truck too, best bet is to save up a little more and get a good quality snorkel and fitted correctly as its not worth risking a cheap/second hand one if you plan on regular water crossings.

Just avoid water for now and play it safe, even after installing my snorkel it took me a year to get confident enough to put it in the deep again.

And remember its still just a vehicle not a boat, it has limits
Its a new truck, Because every parts been replaced

What about this? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Toyota-Hil...item53ee5631c4 yes it's for a petrol but you do away with the metal bit that attaches to the airbox and just use the flexi pipe straight from the snorkle to the airbox.

I will be making one when I eventually fix mine. I have a cracked head and a bent rod as a result. I will use some stainless pipe and have it all welded up. With an after-market Airbox.

I was considering a bypass/water filter as well but I have yet to see a thread about them.

Whatever you plan on doing I would have thought making sure all the joints in the pipework are watertight is the most important thing.

I am sure people with more experience will be along to help

Have a word with this guy. Good quality. I've bought one for the jeep and I think he was the dealer for the group buy last year.
