  • Good price for Euro Breakdown Cover?

Had a search on the site and didnt come up with anything useful.

The AA will insure my 17 year old truck, but for 6 days in France it will cost me a wopping £78.66!

Is this a reasonable price? In my Subaru legacy it was £90 for a year multi trip, and that was 13 years old.

Any recommendations on good companies? I o'd only really want them to take the truck back home, and give me a rental to get me, my passenger and my stuff back as well.

I don't know how long you're going for or how you're getting there but the one that comes with the euro tunnel is good. £15 and it's done by the AA. I drove to Switzerland a couple of summers ago in the car. Drove Round all week fine but an hour into my journey home, with 650 miles left the water pump went. Not good at 7am on a Saturday. Rang the magic number and a little man came along and towed me to the nearest BMW garage, which was closed weekends, told me to ring the AA and left the girlfriend and I there.
For the £15 they organised flights and trains home for both of us and a week later flew me out to pick it up. They would have recovered it but I fancied the drive!
    Can't recommend them enough.

Compared to the potential hassle of sorting it all yourself that is cheap as chips, as a guide I had to get my Vito back from Chippenham to Swindon about 25 miles and in the same county let alone country( don't ask) and that cost me £84.00

        So yeah cheap.

The begore mentioned legacy caught fire coming back from France last year, AA didn't cover it and ended up spending 3.5k to get the car to a scrappies and get home. So I definitely appreciate tge need for cover, but unsure on the premium costs.
