It's not wrong to abbreviate. It was the misuse of "Of" that grated on me. "Should of", "Could of" are getting too common. My favourite is "With ironsight, we could have avoided all this..."

Nope, it was a statement not a question.

One was actually referring to the fact that Andy had made a mistake and Vince had highlighted the error.
I was suggesting that the text should have been in the form of a question, but then you are small and probably would not understand.
However it was quite early when I posted my original reply so I am willing to accept that with the aid of more sleep and less coffee I would have just had a small laugh to myself, happy to go about my merry way knowing that even the best of us can and sometimes do make mistakes, unless, of course it was not a mistake and the grammatical crime was committed just to see if anyone was actually bothering to read the post in the first place, then as per the norm I doff my hat and stand corrected.(in the corner facing the wall at the back of the class)
