  • Rough trax filters

Some relatives visiting from UK have brought over some filters I ordered from Rough Trax some time ago, the Brand is Comline. Has anyone on the forum got any experience of them?
    Cheers

I've had two fuel filters from Roughtrax before that both leaked where the water float screws in.

The Comline ones however, are fine. Haven't worked out why though...

Yes, I replaced the seal both times. I had to put the old filter on and wait for the Comline one. I just make sure I ask for that specific one now. It must be something to do with the shape of the water sensor or something?

I've fitted literally hundreds of RT filters, never had an issue with any.

Thanks for the replies, I am a bit fussy about filters, especially fuel filter since diesel here can be quite dirty and if you are out in the sticks you rely on jerry cans...often people get their fuel lines gunked up. I only know FRAM and GUD filters but you can't always get them, they seem to run out quickly from the parts shops. Too many surfs I guess !

You can't go far wrong with the filters from r/trax.
Maybe it will pay to get another water sensor and see if that cures the problem and if it does keep the old one as a spare just in case
