General off roading/green laning, leave it in 2wd high, unless very muddy then use HI 4. For extreme gradients or pulling 44 tonne trucks or even 2 tonne trucks out of mud holes use Low 4. Now, do you have a little red button on your truck...?

Going back to the you tube link...is the surf in the video the 3RZ petrol? I had that engine in a prado and it pulled ANYTHING....Or is it the KZ-TE? Difficult to tell from the movie...

yes doesn't it allow you to move the main gear lever when engine is off ?
