overheating

Hi everyone im new to this site but i have read alot about overheating problems on the 2.4 surf i had the same problems i fitted a new head and half a mile up the road it started to go into the red again so i replaced the rad with a 3L rad problem solved it does not overheat any more my logal rd shop said the 2.4 and the 3L use the same rads belive me they dont the 3L is bigger anyway just a thought for all the people who are having overheating problems

i think some people have nothing else better to do then pick at folk who post without comma's or full stops. It can still be read! I find the sarcastic reply mnore annoying!!! Some folk may have difficulties in spelling for gods sake! Rant over

The trouble with this argument is some people ARE dyslexic, some didn't listen at school but lots more are just lazy.

The trouble with internet is you don't know just from reading.

The last two we can do something about, and things will be better for everyone who has to read the posts. The first is just life and you have to live with it.

Carl, I'd guess your 2.4 overheated because your rad was forked, a new 2.4 or 3.0 rad would have fixed it, the usual overheating problems on Surfs are 1/ Cracked head, 2/ Knackered viscous fan, 3/leaks from old hoses, 4/ Plugged rad, just fitting a 3.0 rad to a overheating 2.4 will only cure the last problem.

But good your's is solved.
