  • Punctures.

Is there anyone on here that has ever had a puncture?

I don't mean while off-roading, just general day to day driving/commuting.
I don't mean slow punctures or you come out of the house one morning and notice a tyre is flat either, I'm talking about a puncture when you're away from home driving along normal metalled roads.

Several, including ones where I didn't have the unlocking keys for the wheelnut.
And ones where the hole was too big for tyreweld.

if you mean a puncture in any vehicle, on our way to Wrexham with my wife in the soarer I had a rear tyre blow out at 70mph hmmmm? in the outside lane of the M5 where it forks off to the M42 luckily the car stayed on an even keel and I reached the hard shoulder without misshap and changed the wheel. The annoying thing about it was the fact that we were on probably one of the busyiest parts of the motorway and 3 police cars went by and never gave us a second glance. The only other time was a nail in the tyre of a reliant scimitar back in the seventies.

Being classed as surfless I guess ?,however I am old and keep a diary, we had been to Elvington nr York, I got the puncture on front passenger side, was running on nearly new Marshall at/st budget range tyres, weather was dry , road conditions good, fod consisted of wing bracket from an old clio (police said so) no dramatic blow out and steering only had slight wobble, braking from 40mph
