Anti-roll bar bushes

Just tried to get the rear drop linkage off the chassis mount to pack the bush with a washer as hinted at by the MOT tester and the bar snapped, now have to cut the nut off the ball joint cuz it is turning.

Then I noticed the anti-roll bar bushes have about 2mm play (missed on the MOT).
Does anyone know if the 2.4 bushes are the same size ( they are a bit cheaper) I measured the bar under the bushes and it reads 24.19mm, I guess a 24mm bar.

same, if you have broken the top off you can grab it and pull it towards you and it should pop the ball joint piece apart, then you can get some mole grips on it and try undoing it that way.

That didn't work, just bent the bar.
I have cut the nut off now.

Yep - sorry about that Nev it's the front bars that differ. I replaced all 4 recently and thought I remembered the rears being the 'odd' ones.

3rd gens have two different diameter rear ARBs.
