Am I the lucky one or what? Today my wife says lets go and have a look at an MR2 I fancy, so I says no prob. She then gets upset as I jump Surf into life using her MG. I'm sick of this she says and stomps off. 5 mins later she comes out with tea and says I've ordered you a pair of batteries, they'd better stop you using my car as a battery pack.

How good is that?
The Surf's batteries are f*****, I've had them drop tested. They've had enough oomph when it's warm, but not cold. One is 6yr old and the other 11, don't get any life out of things these days.


PS The MR2 had floppy ears and a wet nose, wuff!

Less than 24 hrs and new batteries are here and fitted! Surf now bbbrrrruuuuummmms in a trice from stone cold. Batteries were £58 & £59 delivered on ebay, They're alphaline calcium technology ones

1: There is no such thing as a lovely Wife.
2: Why is see in control of your wallet?

Good to here you got it sorted though. I'd the same problem last year with two knackered batteries. That was a bonus with the 1UZ swap, I only needed to replace one

She may well have used her purse to buy your batteries but there is ALWAYS a payback.

Nope she's just the best! She got some new lights for my A bar too! All I had to do was fit lexus lights to her MG,what a girl and no you can't have her
