I used 1mm but sandwiched between the wrap around pipe and the manifolds.

Someone else here reckoned 6mm or 8mm if you wanted to lose that pipe. I'd probably get a manifold off a 4runner and just blank the inlet if I was going that route though.

Whilst I've got your attention how much (rough idea?) to knock up a stainless front downpipe with the flange in 2.5" tube ? I'd have to send you up a sample as it needs altering from standard.

          Cheers,
          Rob.

I used 6mm steel, and that seems to be OK,but I lost the EGR altogether. When I used to floor the throttle and small puff of black smoke used to puff out,but now it's clean, however that could be down to the two kilos of crud I washed out the inlet manifold

Somewhere between 4 to 6 mil would probably work best, Dave.

So the 3 Litre needs one of each ?, are the dimensions the same for the 2.4 ?

OK, so what length of M8 bolts do I need to supply as I will do those as well as a complete kit... Thanks.

Yes for the the 3.0, no idea about the 2.4.

Any idea about the exhaust downpipe in stainless ?

I thought about doing one when I replaced mine, but went for the genuine Toyota one with all the covers on.

Mine needs to be modified to clear the lift so was hoping to do it in stainless and transfer the heatshields over. No worries I'll try a fab place place down my way.
