  • Which model to buy?

    Hi guys,
I am new to the forum and am looking to buy, but with model changes, engine size and fuel (petrol or diesel) plus generation differences, which is the one to go for?
    Many thanks,
    Neil

Depends on what you want it for?

Personally I would go for 3.0td its up on power and not a lot of difference to mpg to the 2.4. What spec and what Gen either 2nd or 3rd is down to your preference and budget, journeys covered and mpg etc. Look at the petrol versions as well if you prefer petrol to diesel , but which ever one you get make sure you check all electrics and 4wd system.

Theres a few fellow surfers down your way that may be able to help you.

Thanks for the tips guys, would you happen to know of the Surf owners close to Saltash as I would like to contact them on the forum and maybe have a look at what they drive?

        I'd suggest a 3l 3rd gen.

        In blue.

There's one for sale in the for sale forum right now.

If your not bothered about mpg then look at the petrol versions, but which ever one you get make sure you check all electrics and 4wd system.

My old 2.7 petrol seemed marginally cheaper to run than the 3.0TD I owned before it - and more powerful, and smoother.
